Gladstone Shetland Sheep
We have kept Shetland sheep for the past 12 years, on and off. We love their friendly nature, beautiful spinners fleeces and general appearance. They taste good too of course, in line with other primitives.
This year we have started again with two lovely white gimmers from Moira Morrison's flock. They both have fleeces Juliet can hardly wait to spin, and we are looking forward to their lambs in Spring.

Here they are in February 2013
Daffy standing in front of Iris, both well protected from the snow by their magnificent fleeces.
We have kept other sheep in the past
Here, Conna the cross Anatolyan Carabash / Irish Wolfhound and Trixie the Jacob each have a little coarse mix treat. Conna was a wonderful guard dog, living in with the sheep for most of the time where she was accepted as one of the flock. A fabulous dog, sadly missed.
