        Hebrideans:
This year, 2011, we have had a very successful lambing with some very promising lambs born.
Please contact us for further details.
Sorry but we have no Hebridean females left for sale this year.

Scots Grey poultry : We will have trios for sale later in the year.  Please contact us for details.

        When we sell our sheep:

We prefer not to sell our sheep through a sale ring. This is to avoid stress to the sheep and so that we know in advance where they are going.
If you buy our sheep, we will be available to give you our advice and support if needed.
If you are starting with sheep for the first time, we often suggest you buy an older ewe and a couple of lambs or shearling ewes. This way the lambs have a natural leader who they are familiar with and who knows the ropes; this makes settling into a new environment much easier for them.   Some people though prefer to buy a group of ewe lambs so they can take a year to get to know them, and about shepherding, before they start with breeding their own lambs.
Occasionally we have Soay wether lambs for sale as pets - they are readily tamed and their small size and cute appearance makes them popular with children and adults alike. Sheep are a flock animal so should always live in a group of at least two.

Bringing Soays and Borerays up from England

There are not many flocks of registered Soays or Borerays in Scotland so unrelated stock can be difficult to source, but several new breeders are keen to start flocks of these rare breeds.  We will try to work with the Soay and Boreray sheep Society to help bring stock north of the border. If you wish to take advantage of this proposed scheme, please contact us.
