Snow came early this year. It started in November and continued into December with exceptionally low temperatures, -15 the lowest so far. Here are a few pictures of sheep in the snow.
All the fields have shelters and all the sheep have free access to hay. When the weather is severe, the sheep all get some concentrates too. The sheep may be hardy but it makes sense to look after them. The very old ones get a little extra - they deserve it.
